Blood:Water Mission

Friday, January 30th, 2009

Blood:Water Mission is a cause that we are supporting.  Their goal is to provide Africans with clean blood and clean water so they can live a sustainable life.  I presented this cause to our middle school group last Wednesday and challenged them to give of their plenty. My favorite thing about this cause is that $1 will give an African clean water for a year!

So far we have given $22.26.  Way to go guys!  Any money that you bring on Wednesday nights will go to help this great cause.

sledding on Friday January 16th

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

I was not able to secure a place for us to all go sledding together.  But since no one has school, and you are bound to want to hang out, let me know if you are going somewhere to sled or hang.  Send me a text 309-4240 and I just might be able to show up.

Christmas Poem

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the Erin,

not a creature was stirring, not even a platypus.

The people were tucked, all snug in their mac and cheeses,

while visions of gronge plums danced in their heads.

Then up on the tower there arose such a clatter.

I sprang up from my fossa to see what was the matter.

It was St. Nicholas with his little hairy belly,

That shook when he laughed like a bowl full of boxes.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work.

And filled all the dindins, then turned with a jerk.

And laying his liger aside of his nose

And giving a nod, up on the mold he rose.

I heard him exclaim as he vomitted out of sight,

“Nerdy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
